When we first got to Tassie we looked through all our books and pamphlets from the Tourist Info Centre.
One thing that jumped out as a must do was 'The National Penny Farthing Championships' in Evandale on the 22nd of February.
It has been the one definite plan we have made on our whole trip.
We stayed at a park only a 5 minutes walk from all the action.
This is a bronze sculpture of John Glover, an early Australian artist, he also was at the park.
This little town is adorned with penny farthing memorabilia and
..madness.

Here is some interesting trivia from Ellen's' memory bank.
The Penny Farthing is named for the size of its wheels. One is the size of a Penny the other a Farthing, pretty cool hey.
Evandale put on a fantastic day, for a little country town, it was awesome.
