BusTed in Burnie and Boat Harbour Beach

Hi Again

As we continued our way across the top of Tassie , we came to a wonderful place in Burnie called "The Makers' Workshop"
located in the tourist information centre.

There were numerous artist showing their skills and wares. The most impressive to us was the paper making with a huge display of Sculptures from hand made paper.

Also, impressive was this violin carved from bush timber from a logger whilst out in the bush back in the early 1900s.

Incredible.

We left Burnie and headed along a bit further to Table Cape, a nice slow uphill drive to an old Lighthouse. It is rich in history and would be worth a return trip in spring to see the fields of colourful poppies. The view of the coastline was spectacular.
Our beautiful bus is dwarfed by the size of this structure.

Well then moving west, we found heaven, Boat Harbour Beach ,this place is stunning, houses nestled among the hills with little footpaths leading straight onto the beach. There is only 100 houses here and only 30 permanent residences. The surf club is well supported and has really good food.

Now, remember back on the dock, Ellen did a little happy leap, Its becoming a bit of a thing....she just cant seem to help herself.

So gorgeous.

We saw a real live Christmas tree including the star.

The colour of the water is blue ....the camera really hasn't done it justice, similar to Tuncurry.

Time for another
Where's BusTed??

We wondered at first why so many people were in wetsuits....well yes the water is a little nippy.

Ellen walked out into the water for this next great shot.

We met some great people here as well, we will return to here for sure.
We spent a lovely Sunday afternoon at the surf club being entertained by local musicians and drinking with some new found friends.
We also met a cute little Springer Spaniel puppy named Rosie....sooooo sweet.

Tassie being as it is so far I am sure we will meet again.
Love to Everyone
Till next Time
xxxx
Ellen and Michelle
