BusTed in Bondi

Hi Everyone,
Its that time of year again when you apply your sunscreen, grab some water put on your joggers and head to Bondi for
Sculpture by the Sea.
It never fails to impress.

This one is Ellen's favourite.

This next one we called stairway to heaven. It looked pretty cool.

This is the winning entrant, standing tall and proud, it is really quite amazing how the base of the columns are carved with a twist.

This is a kinetic (moving) piece. The three orange pieces move independently and echo the breeze.
Much like a weather vane, it dances in the air, lovely.

This is probably one of my favourites, a vessel, sleek and shiny reflecting the viewer in its surface.

This little beauty was made by Michael Le Grande a previous lecturer of mine from the
 Canberra School of Art.
Awesome.

  This was cool.

As was this funky little one.

OMG these are all bottle tops.

Some people just think they are sculptures........
I think Sculptor is the word.

Well, thanks Ellen , sick as she was with a bad cold we had a great time.

Till next time

BusTed still in Mittagong

Helllooooo,
Look at these two beautiful women
Ellen and her Mum.

It was a month for birthdays....this is Emily, Ellen's great niece
 and she is now 2.

Notice how carefully she watches her Uncles and Dad put together her new bike.

Now, these three "stooges, amigos, little ducks" were definitely up to mischief in the kitchen.
Its their Dad's birthday and something a little special was in order.

EYE can SEE why this cake was a BLINKING hit.

At first Tony thought it to be a spider cake......understandably with his one dodgy eye and all those liquorice eyelashes.

A great day was had by all and the cake was so yummy orange ring cake and banana cake.
So good.

Till next time

BusTed in Merimbula

Hi Again,
We popped down to Merimbula for the weekend it was great.
Jens Mum Shirley has just had surgery so we went to visit.
It was awesome to see Dardi, Jens daughter who I haven't seen since she was about 4.

We were sitting in the lounge room when I noticed this huge huntsmen spider running up the road.
On closer inspection it was really a crab.

After a lot of skillful moves by Carol, she picked it up unscathed.

Now to free it....or relocate it off the tar.

Free at last.

We went down to the jetty to try and spot some whales.
Well, that didn't happen but the coffee and cake was to die for.

Back at Carols house and Ellen and Jen hook into a jigsaw puzzle, which they blitzed in two days.

Adding water to Ellen.

We headed to Eden for a drive and yep, we spotted some whales.
Woohoo

till next time

Busted in Mittagong

Hello everyone,
Well here we are finally in Mittagong in real life and on the blog. We have a tendency to run a bit behind but Woohoo we are now in sync. On the way through we stopped off to see Jade and Max in their new home, its lovely. Jade cooked us some cookies mmmmmmmmmm.

We also had a sleepover at Londonderry in Sydney at Tam and Bobs.
Luke and Harry were excited to go for a run in Theodora.

Tam was a little scared as we took off to do a lap.
(especially because Ellen was in front taking pics)

It was so great to see everyone.

Which leads us to Mittagong.
Ellen's Dad has had an eye operation, her Mum is recovering from a gist removed from her stomach area and they have had birthdays of 83 and 80 respectively.
We lopped a few trees, cut others down and squeezed Theodora into their backyard, no easy feat.

Ellen has been the number one Chauffeur, and gardener, while I have been looking more towards the kitchen and cooking up storms.

Janette and Hayley came to visit and we took a little sight seeing trip to Berrima.

This is the old courthouse, which is rumoured to be haunted.

Now, Janette was very very naughty, so we locked her up.

As was Hayley, very, very bad.

....and the extremely naughty Ellen.

and the ever defiant Michelle.

Now, a trip to Mittagong would not be complete without a trip to Lake Alexander.

Spring has sprung and all the little ducklings are in abundance.

This is our take on the new kids on the block.

Till next time

BusTed in Tea Gardens

Time for Tea Gardens.
What a delight, Amarni has grown heaps and just fell in love with Ellen.

Over the course of the first two hours we were there she pulled out nearly every toy and  book she had upstairs for Ellen to read to her.

Next morning we went off to the restaurant for breakfast.
I was very hungry and wanted to eat Amarni mmmm.

After breaky, things had calmed down considerably.

The nicest picture of
Frappa (Shayne) with Amarni.

The two lovelies Michelle and Lynne.

The two loonies Shayne and Michelle.

The sexy Shell and Kowan.

Cute little story.
Amarni jumped on to the bus and wandered up to the bedroom , before we knew it she had hooked off with the purple teddy, its under her arm and she has thrown it out the door and is backing down the stairs and out. She picked up the bear ,tucked it under her arm and stood there smiling.

I couldn't believe it, this purple bear was my Mums favourite, it lived on her bed, and it had been travelling around with us since we started. I had often said to Ellen," I don't know what we are doing with this bear ?" Well now I know. It had been so Amarni could flog it. So good, thanks Mum.

Till we next talk
